Head of Digital
Head of Digital – Digital Construction division
Shape how modern digital construction is delivered. Join us and make real change.
Plowman Craven is looking for an experienced and credible digital leader to take on a pivotal Head of Digital role within our Digital Construction division.
This is a senior leadership position with real influence. You will shape how digital consultancy, BIM and CAD delivery operate across the business, setting standards, leading people, and ensuring our digital services continue to support complex infrastructure and built asset projects around the world.
The opportunity:
As Head of Digital, you will lead our digital delivery operations across the UK and Poland, with responsibility for quality, consistency, innovation and performance. You will work closely with senior leaders, clients and delivery teams to ensure digital services are robust, scalable and commercially effective.
This role suits someone who enjoys combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical credibility. You will be equally comfortable setting direction, developing people, engaging with clients, and getting into the detail when needed.
What you will be doing:
- You will lead and develop multidisciplinary digital teams across digital consultancy, BIM and CAD, creating a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- You will set and own digital standards, governance and quality frameworks, ensuring consistent, compliant outputs across regions and projects.
- You will oversee digital consultancy and information management services, advising clients on digital strategy, data governance, BIM workflows and technology adoption.
- You will ensure high-quality digital production, including BIM and CAD modelling, aligned to client requirements, project standards and regulatory expectations.
- You will play a key role in digital transformation, embedding new technologies, improving workflows and strengthening operational efficiency.
- You will work closely with commercial and delivery teams to support tenders, pricing and client solutions, bringing a clear commercial mindset to digital delivery.
- You will build strong working relationships with technology partners and the wider supply chain to support innovation and resilience.
- You will help shape the future direction of digital services at Plowman Craven, identifying growth opportunities and strengthening our position as a trusted digital delivery partner.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a senior digital professional with strong leadership presence and a track record of delivering complex digital services in infrastructure, construction, geospatial or related sectors.
You are likely to bring:
- Extensive experience in digital delivery, BIM, digital consultancy or construction technology
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary delivery teams across multiple locations
- Strong technical understanding of BIM, CAD, information management and digital standards
- Experience advising clients on digital strategy, data integration and technology adoption
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting bids, pricing and client engagement
- Confidence working with geospatial data, BIM models and digital twin environments
- Experience with Common Data Environments, data governance and quality assurance
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- A practical mindset focused on delivery excellence, consistency and continuous improvement
- Experience with GIS platforms, BIM tools, interoperability standards, automation or data visualisation is highly relevant, but just as important is your ability to lead people, set direction and deliver results.
Why join Plowman Craven:
You will join a well-established, forward-thinking consultancy working at the intersection of geospatial, digital construction and technology.
This role offers:
- Genuine influence over how digital services are delivered and developed
- The opportunity to lead and shape a growing international digital team
- Exposure to major infrastructure and built asset projects
- A business that values technical excellence, innovation and people development
- A leadership role where your expertise will be recognised and trusted
Working arrangement:
This role requires regular office presence, with a minimum of three days per week, to support collaboration, leadership and team development. You will work closely with teams in the UK and Poland and support global delivery across other regions.
