Environmental Monitoring Sales Executive
Our Smart Monitoring division provides structural and environmental monitoring services across the built environment and infrastructure sectors, using both manual and automated technologies to deliver clarity, confidence, and control.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a commercially driven Environmental Monitoring Sales Executive to play a key role in expanding our environmental monitoring capability within Smart Monitoring. Covering services across noise, vibration, dust, air quality, and wider environmental solutions, this is a growth area with significant potential.
You’ll take ownership of developing new business, nurturing relationships, and building a strong market presence, all while working closely with our wider Business Development team to identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities. Joining at an exciting stage of expansion, you’ll help shape how this service evolves, backed by the stability and support of one of the UK’s most respected geospatial businesses.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and convert new business opportunities for environmental monitoring services.
- Engage with contractors, developers, and infrastructure clients to grow our customer base.
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through proposal to contract award.
- Re-engage existing and dormant clients to introduce our enhanced environmental capabilities.
- Represent Plowman Craven at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Track pipeline performance, report on progress, and share market insights with senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in sales or business development within environmental monitoring or related instrumentation sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver tangible results.
- Excellent relationship builder and communicator, comfortable engaging at all levels.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed goals.
- Awareness of environmental monitoring systems (noise, vibration, dust, air quality).
- Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.
What You’ll Get
- A vibrant, passionate, and collaborative working culture.
- Learning and development opportunities, including professional and management training.
- Competitive remuneration package with performance-related bonus.
- Generous annual leave allowance.
- Company laptop and mobile phone.
- Wellbeing and social events programme.
- Hybrid working with access to both our Harpenden and London offices.
