As our new Senior Project Manager based in Texas, you’ll lead landmark projects across the U.S., working with the latest technology and a highly skilled team. You’ll be the trusted point of contact for major clients, guiding projects from kick-off through to successful delivery — on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stakeholder Communication

  • Ensure open and proactive communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns promptly. Lead meetings to align on project expectations and adjust plans when required.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored presentations that highlight project milestones, findings, and recommendations. Provide technical support during discussions to clarify complex issues and maintain client confidence.
  • Oversee the smooth transition from sales to execution, ensuring all parties fully understand the project scope, deliverables, and responsibilities.

Project Planning & Program Management

  • Develop detailed project plans that align with both budget and client specifications, securing buy-in from all stakeholders. Build resource-based schedules and prepare accurate revenue and cost forecasts.
  • Continuously monitor project risks, proactively apply strategies to prevent delays. Adjust plans accordingly and keep stakeholders informed of changes while updating financial forecasts.
  • Stay current with advancements in surveying, geospatial, and automated monitoring technologies. Use this knowledge to improve project decision-making and outcomes, collaborating with technical teams to confirm feasibility.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each receives appropriate resources and oversight to achieve its objectives.
  • Manage the logistics of equipment in collaboration with the Lead/Senior Surveyor.
  • Complete and submit Job Hazard Analysis forms for each project.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety requirements, and all applicable federal and state laws.
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings, briefing the survey team to ensure there is a clear understanding on the scope of work and deliverables.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Track project finances, including budgets, forecasts, and reporting. Highlight opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency, while maintaining compliance with US commercial practices.
  • Prepare and submit changes orders as needed.
  • Work with Head of Logistics in preparing competitive, accurate quotations and bid submissions.
  • Identify ways to increase project revenues through improved operational efficiency, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain robust financial documentation to support transparency and inform project adjustments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams, addressing issues directly and effectively.
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to stakeholder management, problem-solving, and dispute resolution.
  • Competence in managing project costs, delivering productivity and revenue goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Project.
  • Project management qualification.
  • Knowledge of surveying or related industries and Plowman Craven’s markets.
  • Experience with client contracts, technical quotations, and/or tenders.
  • Background in operations management.
