Marketing Coordinator

Ref: VA178 Head Office - Harpenden Full time Fixed-term contract (6-months)

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

PLEASE NOTE: This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract (potential to extend to permanent)

As a pivotal part in our marketing efforts, you will be creating and executing strategies that not only increase brand awareness and client engagement but also result in revenue growth. Leveraging your understanding in social media and content writing, you will enhance the company’s domestic reputation while establishing a strong, consistent international presence.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage our social channels, website, articles and more. From planning and execution to analysis and optimisation, by ensuring all efforts align with and support our broader business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Coordination

  • Write and coordinate a range of content including case studies, website copy, blog articles, thought leadership, LinkedIn posts, internal communications, and marketing collateral
  • Support internal communication efforts by drafting staff newsletters, announcements, and updates
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input, conduct interviews, and gain approvals for content
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, messaging, and style guidelines
  • Upload and maintain content using the CMS

Campaign & Channel Support

  • Assist in managing the marketing campaign and content calendar
  • Build and send email campaigns using the marketing platform
  • Schedule and publish LinkedIn content and monitor engagement
  • Track and report on basic engagement metrics such as email open rates and social reach

Strategic Client Engagement

Build trusted senior relationships, engaging key client stakeholders who oversee multiple projects. Align with executive sponsors where required to strengthen strategic partnerships. Identify cross-selling opportunities and pass them to sales and commercial teams for conversion.

Visual Asset Support & Content Management

  • Create simple visual assets using Canva or similar tools to support digital and offline content
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots as required, working with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure content is aligned with brand and messaging
  • Maintain and manage a central library of approved content, templates, and visual assets
  • Coordinate with designers, developers, and external suppliers to support content delivery

Planning & Collaboration

  • Conduct competitor and market research to inform content ideas and positioning
  • Assist in marketing campaign planning sessions and team workshops

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE?

  • Degree-qualified in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience in a working environment required.
  • Excellent copy writing, editing, and proofreading skills for a B2B audience.
  • Able to distil technical subject matter into clear, engaging content.
  • Organised and detail-focused, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident working with a range of internal stakeholders.
  • Experience using CMS platforms, email marketing systems, LinkedIn, and Canva.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and willing to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A keen interest in the built environment, technology, and innovation is a plus.
