Surveyor

An opportunity has arisen to join our Surveying team as a Surveyor within our Property Management division. As leaders in the geomatics fields, we provide a diverse range of technology-led services to the property and infrastructure industries. Key Responsibilities
You will work alongside the Lead Surveyor, establishing the most appropriate technology for projects and the most efficient method to deliver predictable and agreed commercial outcome for Plowman Craven.
Daily duties:
- Conduct all surveying and technical aspects of projects.
- Take responsibility for managing project data through to completion of project.
- Ensure adherence to the technical specifications, company standards and establish the agreed timescales of projects.
- Report on project progress to Project Managers, ensuring projects meet the required deadlines and project costs remain within budget.
- Liaise with clients as required on site concerning project specifications and deliverables in accordance with RICS Standards & Guidelines, reporting all communications to Project Managers & Lead Surveyor.
- Working with the Project Manager when appropriate, providing advice on approach, programme timings and resources required to successfully complete the project.
- Regularly coordinate and communicate with other project teams on site including subcontractors.
- Act as mentor to Junior Surveyors in all aspects of data collection and data processing, encouraging best practice providing them with the necessary experience and technical knowledge to further develop skills over time. Provide feedback to the Lead Surveyor on the performance of junior staff.

You must have:
- Approximately 2 years’ general Surveying experience.
- Laser scanning experience.
- Experience in the production of measured building surveys.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- UK driving licence.
- Pro-active and effective communicator.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and pro-active.
- Can solve problems effectively and in a timely manner out on site.
- Strong understanding of IT applications.
- Flexible on work location and hours.
