Primary Purpose

We are seeking to appoint a Junior Surveyor for our PC Monitoring team to work on numerous prestigious monitoring and engineering projects across London.

The Junior Surveyor role requires someone educated to GCSE/A level standard with several years of survey experience, or a recent graduate the looking to start and develop their career within the survey industry.

In addition to the technical and leadership aspects of the role, we expect individuals to demonstrate our key characters; Innovation, Creative, Passionate, Bold, Ambitious, Relentless, and Trusted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Senior Surveyors, assist in the data collection and data processing elements of all projects in the teams’ portfolio and meet the required Company standards including health and safety.
  • To pro-actively take responsibility to learn survey theory and practice, new techniques and about new instruments, to embark on a career as a professional surveyor.
  • To rotate around the different business areas and gain varied experience and learn about specific ways of working.
  • To undertake all other reasonable tasks as requested.

Person Specification - Essential

  • Approximately 1-2 years survey experience, or a qualification relevant to Surveying and/or Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team working, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential to this role - we're looking for a proactive and effective communicator.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, self-motivated with the ability to solve problems effectively and in a timely manner on site.
  • Have a strong understanding of IT applications.
  • Willing to be flexible on work location and working hours.

Person Specification - Desirable

  • Experience in Monitoring, Engineering and Setting-Out surveys
  • CSCS Card
  • Driving Licence
