Heritage Recording
At Plowman Craven we have been providing the expertise and the experience to help preserve the world's heritage since 1964. Our clients at home and abroad demand cost effective solutions to the myriad of recording problems that they face in this demanding sector.
Our services include the complete photographic documentation of structures, sites, objects and works of art. We are vastly experienced in techniques that provide a complete digital photographic archive in both normal and high dynamic range formats for scholarly research and conservation management.
Today's advances in hardware and software enable the creation of ever more accurate, complex and realistic three-dimensional models and scenes that reflect the historical world. We have experts in both Lidar and close range scanning technology, and have applied this innovatively to both the recording and monitoring of deterioration within historic structures and artefacts.
This has allowed us to offer a full range of easily accessible visualisations, including digital orthophotographs, textured 3D models and photo-realistic architectural and artefact models that are all available in both still, animated, and interactive virtual reality formats.
