Data Management

Plowman Craven's Data Archive system contains 45 years' worth of work undertaken on behalf of clients. Data is stored to enable quick and easy retrieval. This means that our data can be reutilised continually whenever a space is refurbished, re-let or re-rated, thus avoiding the need for costly and time consuming re-measuring exercises.

'Term Commissions' for prestigious organisations require Plowman Craven to keep up-to-date records on their behalf. Existing floor plans and elevations measured years previously can be updated easily when changes are made or can be used to assist with refurbishments and alterations. These floor plans can be used as a basis for databases to show information like ICT Networks, Fire Compartments, and Emergency Light Networks. Effective data management is essential to enable these exercises to be undertaken efficiently.

Working with database systems like ActivePlan and Archibus allow our floor plans to be merged with asset management information. ActivePlan is a breakthrough technology that allows established asset management systems to be dynamically linked to CAD plans for floor/room layouts, equipment details and building services.
