BIM Construction
BIM is a process of generating and managing information about a building during its entire life cycle. Continually collecting accurate geometric information through the construction phase of that cycle is critical. Laser scanning and the resultant point cloud continually enriches the model with 'present day' data which can be used for 'Design - As built' comparisons, clash detection analysis and for DFMA fit out solutions.
In near real time, TruView™, a web based portal enables the user to be part of a visual tour of the scanned area. By combining 360° high dynamic range photography with point cloud data this multi-access tool allows each user to pan, zoom, measure and investigate the area from the comfort of a workstation. Critical measurements can be interrogated and new designs can be incorporated at this stage to enable a visual analysis.
