Collision Scene Management
Collision scene management is a difficult dynamic event with many factors to consider. Successfully managing the collision scene enhances the potential for useful material to be gained by forensic techniques, both at the scene and at a later stage in the investigation.
It will often take time to establish what has happened during any collision. The evidence at the scene is therefore crucial in establishing the sequence of events.
Plowman Craven's dedicated experienced team is able to capture rapidly and comprehensively all the aspects of a collision scene from positions and movement of vehicles and individuals to skid marks, damaged kerb markings and location of debris.
From data collected at the scene a wide variety of products can be produced. These range from basic two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional computer-generated models through to complex fully detailed animations.
The ability to recreate sub-millimetre accuracy animations and models, and provide the SIO with accurate measured data can often be crucial in collision investigations.
