Forensic secrets uncovered at Plowman Craven
An expression so harrowing that it's thought to have inspired Edvard Munch's famous painting The Scream was one of the sights to greet Plowman Craven's Duncan Lees as he used laser scanners and modern visualisation techniques to unlock ancient secrets for The History Channel's "Mummy Forensics"
The History Channel series combines Plowman Craven's modern forensic techniques with York University's experience in archaeology and mummies as a crack team investigates six different Mummies found languishing in collections around the UK.
During their investigations of the mummies the team made some extraordinary and surprising discoveries - each the subject of a 1 hour program. The team includes Duncan Lees, Plowman Craven's Head of 3D Services and the project has involved Plowman Craven 3D staff undertaking close range laser scanning and creating presentation 3D graphics, as well as providing on-screen forensic archaeological expertise.
The schedule for the remaining programmes is as follows:
The Fisherman
2000 hrs - Sunday March 30th
The Missing Body
