Plowman Craven has 45 years experience in providing surveys of large estates and buildings. Originally, much of our work undertaking conventional topographical surveys and measured building works was commissioned by the Property Services Agency (PSA). Subsequent direct commissions with governmental departments, local and education authorities, hospitals and defence establishments maintained our close working association with property managers and the basic need to supply conventional 2D vector data (building plans, elevations and sections).
Technical developments and skilled resources mean that we are able to offer both traditional and new services to our key clients. An expansion of our expertise of capturing, processing and presenting 3D survey data beyond traditional photogrammetric means to encompass terrestrial laser scanning and GPS techniques, enables more geometrically complete and virtual solutions to electronic data reporting.
With a pool of appropriately security cleared staff, Plowman Craven ensures that estate data is kept up-to-date and re-issued as required. Some clients have found that expanding upon the basic digital survey drawings by adding relational database material containing detailed estate information helps to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Plowman Craven has experience of CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management Systems), helping to create and maintain accurate records of buildings and estates, and to offer training in CAD drawing and database familiarisation.
